Has anyone looked into the timing of Pete Lopez's departure from his home that morning? I find it odd that he was found in the opposite direction of his destination, especially if he was en route to work at Alamogordo. Could there have been some reason or an unexpected call that led him toward the St. Jude Shrine instead? If there were any tollbooths, gas stations, or any places along the route with cameras, maybe there’s footage that could shed some light on his movements or who he might have met with. Given that his family is still searching for answers, it might be worth exploring if any witnesses remember seeing him—or his vehicle—on the road that day. My heart goes out to them; this kind of uncertainty must be incredibly difficult to endure. Has anyone checked back with local businesses for any forgotten surveillance tapes? It’s been so long, but sometimes these tiny details are what lead to breakthroughs. ?️‍♂️?
I've been following the Pete Lopez case and something about the location where his body was found really bothers me. Pete was supposed to be heading toward Alamogordo, but ended up near the St. Jude Shrine—such a deviation from his intended route. It's odd considering that shrine is kind of off the beaten path for someone who had a clear destination in mind. It's made me wonder if he had planned to meet someone there or if he was possibly coerced into going that direction. Given the secluded area, could it have been chosen deliberately to avoid witnesses? My heart goes out to his family; this unresolved piece must be agonizing. Does anyone know if authorities ever looked deeper into his travel route? Maybe they missed something, like his car being tampered with or redirected inadvertently? Would love to hear any thoughts or theories on why he ended up near that shrine.
Hey everyone,
I've been going down the rabbit hole with the Pete Lopez case, and one question has been bugging me—what was Pete doing near St. Jude Shrine that morning? It's such an odd location given that he was supposed to be heading to Alamogordo. The fact that he ended up in the opposite direction really throws a wrench in understanding his last hours. Was there something, or someone, that drew him there?
The shrine is pretty remote, so was it just a coincidence that he was found there, or could it have been a prearranged meeting? And if so, meeting with who? I know there's no evidence pointing to a clear motive, but could there be someone who knew Pete's movements that morning? It's upsetting to think that maybe he trusted the wrong person, or perhaps he was looking for some peace at the shrine and got caught up in something he never anticipated.
Pete sounded like such an approachable guy from what I've read, and it's distressing that his family still has so many questions. If anyone has any theories on why he was so far from his intended path, I'm all ears. Hoping someday his loved ones get the answers they deserve.
Stay safe,
