I'm deeply saddened by the loss of Eric Gutierrez, and my thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time. It's always jarring when such violence strikes in our communities. I've been thinking a lot about the location aspect of this case. 23rd Avenue and Buckeye Road is certainly a busy area, and many of us are familiar with it. With so much traffic and activity, someone had to have seen something that day. It makes me wonder about the movement in that corridor and how difficult it must have been for investigators to piece together the exact sequence of events right after Eric was shot and before those arrests were made. To those who live nearby, maybe you should come forward if you noticed anything unusual. Every little bit of information could be critical and could eventually help Eric’s family get justice. Phoenix PD seems to be on top of it, but community input is invaluable in these situations. Let's keep the conversation active and hope it leads to finding out why this senseless act occurred. Stay safe, everyone.
