I came across Edgar's case and something doesn't add up to me. He left with a group on the 17th and by the 20th, he's unable to continue because he ran out of water? How is it possible that no one in the group had extra water to share with him? It sounds a bit off. You'd think the group would have been better prepared or had some contingency plans knowing the risks of crossing. Is it common for groups to not have a clear plan for emergencies like someone running out of supplies? Even if he wasn't injured, the desert is no place to be stranded without resources. Has anyone else heard of something similar happening in this area or with other groups?
Has anyone heard any updates about Edgar's case? I've been following his story and it's so frustrating to think he might still be out there and no one's found him yet. I know they said he stayed behind because he ran out of water and couldn't walk anymore, but were there any follow-up search efforts after he disappeared? The desert conditions are brutal, and I'm really worried about the lack of resources in those areas for people in his situation. What are the authorities doing to locate the people who go missing near the border? Any info or insights would be much appreciated.
Did anyone else read that Edgar decided to stay behind on July 20th because he couldn't walk anymore? I was thinking, how could he have just run out of water while others didn’t? Was it bad planning, or did he miscalculate how much water he needed? It’s so puzzling why no one stayed with him or tried to get help as soon as they realized he was struggling. Maybe they thought he would catch up later, but we all know how dangerous it can be in that area without enough water. I'm really curious about what the group dynamics were like and if there were any signs beforehand that he might struggle. Anyone have any insights or heard anything similar in past cases?
