I was reading through the recent posts about Sidiki Fofana's tragic death and I'm just struck by how random and senseless this violence seems. It makes me think about the transit hubs that are supposed to connect us safely within the city. I’ve taken buses from the GRTC transfer station myself and the atmosphere can really change depending on the time of day. You can feel pretty uneasy waiting there late at night despite the increased police patrols. It’s chilling to think something like this could happen amidst the bustle of a typical night at the station. I can't stop thinking about how this incident will affect Sidiki's family and friends. It’s unimaginable to lose someone in such a violent manner. I hope that more people are able to come forward with information to fully piece together what happened and provide some measure of closure for those grieving. Sending love and strength to Sidiki’s loved ones during this incredibly tough time.
