I’ve been reading through posts about Taquan D. “Glizzy” Rhodes and wanted to talk about how incredibly cruel the timing of this tragedy is. Losing a son on Mother’s Day is something I can’t even begin to imagine. It’s clear from the fundraising appeal and family messages that Taquan meant so much to his loved ones. His mother, Leslie, surely feels an indescribable pain that was meant to be a day of celebrating their bond. It makes you think about all the precious moments they shared that were stolen away by this senseless act. I truly hope the responsibility falls into the hands of justice soon and that his family finds strength in their memories and community support.
