I was reading through the details of Jose Gregorio Yanez-Nava's tragic death, and what keeps haunting me is the bravery he displayed in those terrifying moments. In the face of danger, he didn't just stand by—he tried to stop the attacker and protect others. I can't stop thinking about how courageous he must have been to confront such a threat, even if it was with just rocks against a gun. It's a testament to his character that he acted to prevent further harm to his friends and neighbors at that moment. It's so upsetting to think that he lost his life in such a senseless way, and his family has to carry this immense grief. It's hard enough losing someone you love, but losing them to violence adds another layer of devastation. My heart really goes out to his family in Venezuela and everyone who knew him. I'm hoping justice will prevail in this case, but even then, it doesn’t bring Jose back to his loved ones. It just makes you realize how quickly life can change in an instant and how important it is to cherish every moment with the people we care about.
