Such devastating news coming out from West Philly. I've been thinking a lot about Seth Marshall's family and those closest to him. I can't imagine the pain they're enduring right now. It must be so unsettling for the community knowing that something so tragic happened in a place that's supposed to be safe, like a local grocery store. It's somewhat reassuring to hear that there were witnesses and surveillance footage. Hopefully, this means the investigation is going in the right direction, and justice will be served. But we also have to keep in mind that there's another teenager fighting for their life, which only compounds the tragedy. Sending strength and love to both families affected by this senseless act. Let's hope for a thorough and fair process moving forward, and maybe one day we'll see a decline in such violent incidents in our neighborhoods.

I've been following this tragic case since it happened, and something that's been on my mind is the role of gun permits in situations like these. Jaquan Higgs reportedly had a permit to carry, and it's sparked a lot of discussions in our community about the legal implications and responsibilities that come with that. I can't help but feel for Seth Marshall's family; losing someone so young to violence is an unimaginable pain. It's equally challenging to think about the other young person in critical condition and what their family must be going through. I'm curious what others think about how permit holders are trained or educated about conflict de-escalation. I wonder if more focus in that area could prevent situations from escalating to this point. Knowing that authorities are still investigating and that the truth will unfold in court, I'm hoping for justice that brings some sense of closure to everyone involved.
