I've been following the case of Scottrell Juarez West, and it's hard to wrap my head around the fact that this happened in our community. One thing that caught my attention is the way the neighborhood has been reacting. Someone on Ash Street shared that they heard commotion that night, but it didn’t really register as anything out of the ordinary since there are often loud noises in the area. It's tragic how gunshot sounds can sometimes be mistaken for firecrackers or just ignored. Makes me wonder if more people came forward with what they heard, could it help piece together the events of that night? My heart goes out to Scottrell’s family and friends who are undoubtedly dealing with unimaginable grief. Hoping for some leads soon so they can get the closure they desperately need.
