Does anyone else find it really strange how no one heard the gunshot that killed Alva Boyd Fortenberry? I’ve been following the news around Lane, and it seems like it’s a pretty quiet area. You’d think that someone in the vicinity of the “Crow’s Nest” might have heard something and called it in sooner. The fact that a woman discovered him in her yard makes me wonder if the shooter might have known Alva or even lived nearby. It’s baffling how the authorities haven’t named a suspect or made an arrest yet, and now the FBI is involved—makes you think this case might be more complex than it seems. My heart goes out to Alva’s family and friends. It must be incredibly frustrating and painful to not have answers about what really happened. If anyone from the area has more insights or just thoughts on the situation, I’d be interested to hear them.
