I can't get Jahari Stegall's tragic passing out of my mind. I didn't know him personally, but reading about the surveillance footage showing those last fateful moments really hit me hard. It’s devastating to think about such a young life being cut short over what seems to be a fleeting encounter. I keep thinking about how random and senseless it all is—a regular evening turning into a nightmare for Jahari’s family and friends. What’s really jarring is how the community describes the alley around the deli as one of the quieter parts of North Collinwood. It's unsettling to realize that violence can erupt anywhere, anytime. The fact that Royal King, the suspected shooter, is still out there is unsettling, too. I hope authorities find him soon; Jahari's family deserves answers and some form of closure. My heart goes out to everyone touched by this senseless act. It’s so crucial for us as a community to come together, support one another, and seek justice for Jahari. Stay safe, everyone, and remember how precious life is.
