Has anyone else been following the case of Kasiem Johnson from the Bronx? It's just so unsettling to think about how this unfolded right in the lobby of his own building. I can't imagine the shock and fear the residents must have felt, especially those who were starting their day when chaos erupted just steps from their front doors. What stands out to me is how quickly everything escalated. A confrontation one minute, and then devastating violence the next. It's really haunting to think about how a place we've come to associate with safety and routine can turn into such a tragic scene. I really feel for Kasiem’s family and friends. Their world must have been completely turned upside down in such a brief and unexpected moment. I hope detectives are able to piece together what happened through the footage they're looking for. Knowing the community has pulled together to form a memorial gives me a bit of hope, though. It shows the care and respect they have for him. Fingers crossed that justice will be served soon.
