Has anyone else felt absolutely shaken by the news from Windy City Sundries? I can’t stop thinking about how something so tragic could happen right here in Hickory. Corbin was well-loved in our community, and it’s just tragic to lose someone so vibrant to such senseless violence. I didn’t know him personally, but I’d seen him a few times around town, and he always had a bright smile.
It's especially gut-wrenching knowing that these individuals knew each other. How does a relationship sour to the point of violence? I can’t even imagine the pain Corbin's family and friends are going through right now. I hope the community can rally around them for support—grieving is never easy, but knowing you’re not alone can sometimes help.
I know an arrest has been made, but it’s still so important for anyone who might have seen something to step forward. Any piece of information could be crucial in bringing justice for Corbin’s family and getting the full picture of what led to this. Does anyone else find it incredibly concerning that this shooting took place in the back parking lot of Windy City Sundries? I've lived in Hickory my whole life, and this spot has never been known for violent crime. It's so unsettling to think an altercation like this could occur in a location many of us frequent.
