It's so tragic to think about what David Carcamo's family and friends are going through right now. As more details emerge, I can't help but think about the escalating mental health crisis we're seeing all over the country and how it played into this senseless tragedy. It's unsettling how an innocent attempt to help someone in crisis led to such a devastating outcome. I hope that this case leads to more conversations about how we can support those struggling with mental health issues before something like this happens. And I hope David’s family finds the strength they need in this difficult time.
