Was anyone else taken aback by the lack of lighting and security in the downtown parking lots? It's deeply unsettling that such a tragedy could unfold in an area that's supposed to be a popular spot. I keep thinking about Kane Taddese and the others who were caught in this incredibly dangerous situation. If only the lot owners and city had put stronger measures in place sooner, maybe we'd be having a different conversation today. It’s such a terrible loss for Kane's family and friends, and my heart goes out to them. This wake-up call should lead to serious improvements to prevent something like this from happening again. Why does it always take a tragedy for these issues to get the attention they deserve?
