Has anyone else been following the murder investigation of Joseph Lee in New Orleans’ Seventh Ward? It's just so sad to hear about another young life lost like this. I was particularly struck by how the community labeled him as a young father in the remembrances. It's not only his family feeling this loss but his child growing up without their dad now. It makes you think about the ripple effect violence has on families and communities beyond just the immediate loss. I hope Detective Tianay Marshall and the NOPD can find answers soon. In the meantime, if anyone local might have been in the area that night, or knows something, I really hope they come forward. His family deserves some closure.
