Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Saleh Ghasan Omar Humaid and can't stop thinking about the community's gathering around the youth sports facilities near where the tragic event happened. It's both beautiful and poignant how spaces meant for joy and growth turned into a backdrop for heartbreak. The vigils and memorials set up there by his classmates and friends are a testament to how deeply Humaid touched those around him. It really shows the duality of our community spaces—places that witness both the best and worst of times. Seeing photos of the candlelight vigils on the fields where he and his peers likely spent countless hours really hit home for me. I can't imagine how difficult this must be for his family and friends. Hopefully, these gatherings provide them with some comfort and remind them they're not alone during this difficult time.
