Genuinely struggling to wrap my head around the senseless violence that took Breyton's life. I live in New Iberia and remember hearing about the incident shortly after it happened. It's hard to imagine that something like this could occur on a regular weekday afternoon in such a familiar place. I went by the Walmart a few days ago, and the memorial outside was deeply moving. It really shows how much Breyton was loved and respected by those around him. I've spoken to a few people who knew him, and they described him as someone who could light up a room with his laughter. It's unbearable to think that his family and friends now have to navigate life without him. My heart goes out to Breyton's family and loved ones. It's infuriating and tragic that they have to endure this loss. I hope justice is served swiftly and that they find some peace through this difficult journey.
