I'm still trying to wrap my head around Jermon Bonner's tragic death at the Eden Apartments. I've lived in Bastrop for a few years now, and the community around Eden has always been one where neighbors look out for one another. It's hard to believe something like this could unfold right under our noses. What's really concerning is the lack of leads or suspects. It feels like everyone is a little on edge without knowing if the person or people responsible are still out there. I really hope anyone with information comes forward soon. It's so important for Jermon's family and friends to get some semblance of justice and maybe some peace of mind during this difficult time. Does anyone know if there's been any increase in patrols or safety measures at the complex since the incident? I think more visibility from law enforcement might help ease the anxiety in the community. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved him. How is everyone else feeling about safety in the neighborhood after this?
