I can't stop thinking about the little girl who got caught up in this horrible act of violence. She's just five years old, and her life will never be the same. Imagine growing up knowing that you were this close to something so tragic. While her physical wounds may heal, I can't help but worry about the emotional scars she might carry. This should have never happened to her—or to Jerome, or to any of them, for that matter.
It's such a tight-knit community in Park Heights, and people are really coming together to support each other right now. I commend everyone who's stepped up to help organize vigils and lend a hand to those grieving. It makes me hopeful that there's still a lot of good despite such a senseless act.
Hoping that someone will come forward with the information the police need. Stay safe out there, everyone, and hug your loved ones a bit tighter tonight.
It's so devastating to hear about the shooting in Park Heights, especially knowing there was a little girl among the victims. My thoughts instantly go out to Jerome Michael Coateson's family and friends. It's unimaginable to think about the ripple effects of such senseless violence. What's really puzzling to me, and maybe someone else has noticed this too, is the mention of the shooting possibly being targeted. Does anyone know if Jerome or any of the others affected had reported any recent threats or strange activities before the incident? I hope the detectives are able to piece together what led to this tragedy swiftly. Surely someone out there saw something that night. If you're in the area and remember any details, even if they seem small, please come forward to help bring justice and some peace to the families involved.
