I was reading about the tragic incident on Salem Drive involving Terrance Kinard, and it really struck me how quickly life can change. It's so unsettling to think about how an everyday morning in a quiet neighborhood can turn into a scene from a nightmare. I've driven through that community and always thought of it as a peaceful place.
I feel for Mr. Kinard's family and friends who are now left to cope with his loss. To lose someone in such a sudden and violent manner must be incredibly difficult. The fact that the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute makes it all the more painful, knowing that this was somehow preventable. I’ve been following this case in Stone Mountain, and I just can’t stop thinking about Terrance Kinard’s family. I can only imagine the shock and pain they’re going through right now. Even though the police have someone in custody, it doesn’t really answer the ‘why’ of it all. Domestic disputes are sadly more common than we think, but they rarely end in such an extreme way.
