Hey everyone, I've been following Clarence Holmes' case since it first hit the news, and something about the environment of that lake has been bugging me. Has anyone else looked into how Laurel Lake is structured underwater? I found out it's got these old, submerged trees that are like a ghost forest down there. Could they possibly have something to do with why it's been so hard to find anything definitive? I mean, sonar technology is good, but could these trees be creating false readings or hiding things we're unable to detect?
It just seems like such a daunting challenge for search teams, especially with the depths they're dealing with. I wonder if any experts could shed more light on the influence of these submerged forests. Have other lakes with similar conditions played a part in making recoveries difficult? Any new angles or insights would be great to hear.
Has anyone else noticed the strange weather patterns on Laurel Lake around the time Clarence went missing? I was looking into some old meteorological data and it seems like there was an unusually severe storm system that day. Could this have played a bigger role in his disappearance? I know storms can be unexpected and dangerous, especially on a lake. It makes me wonder if a freak gust of wind or a sudden downpour might have thrown him off course or disoriented him. Maybe the storm is a bigger piece of the puzzle than we've considered. Would love to hear thoughts from others who have experience with sudden storms while boating. ?️
Hey everyone,
I've been following Clarence Holmes’ case for a while now, and something that’s been on my mind is the severe storm on the day he vanished. Does anyone know if there were strong currents reported at Laurel Lake during that time? It seems like it could have played a major role in his disappearance, especially if he was trying to navigate back to the marina under such conditions. I came across a few old weather reports, but they didn’t mention specifics about water conditions. If anyone has any info or resources that might go into more detail about weather impacts on the area around that time, I’d appreciate the insight. I just can’t shake the feeling that the storm might hold some of the answers we’ve been searching for. Thanks!
