In the summer of 2012, a 32-year-old man named Clarence Wayne Holmes vanished from the area of Laurel River Lake in London, Kentucky. On the day he was last seen, a storm was approaching, and Holmes had been kindly helping other boaters secure their vessels. After assisting the others, he departed from a houseboat, stating that he was heading back to the marina. However, he never arrived at his destination.
