I just can't wrap my head around the senseless violence that took DJ's life. Having lived near the 33Ninety Apartments years ago, it hits me hard to see something like this happen in my old neighborhood. My heart goes out to DJ's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. It’s alarming to hear about multiple gunshots being fired in a residential complex where so many families are just trying to go about their daily lives. Living in a community should come with a sense of safety, yet incidents like this make it hard for residents to feel secure in their own homes. I hope the authorities can piece together what happened that night and provide some answers and justice for DJ and his loved ones. In the meantime, I think we as a community need to rally for better security and communication with local law enforcement to prevent such tragedies from happening again. DJ should be remembered as more than just a statistic. He was a young man with his whole life ahead of him, and it's devastating that it was cut short in this way.
