Hey everyone, There’s something that’s been bugging me about Maria Bolanos-Rivera's case, specifically regarding her coworker, Eloy Vasquez-Santiago. Does anyone find it strange that he fled to Mexico right after she went missing? It's like he knew the noose was tightening. While he eventually returned and confessed, part of me wonders if there's more to the story. Why the sudden escape and then the willingness to admit to it all upon returning? Was he pushed into confessing or was he genuinely ready to face the consequences? Despite his conviction, I still think about the searches at Hagg Lake and how they never found Maria’s body. It's such a huge area; is there a chance something was overlooked, or was it a clever misdirection? Could he have had help that's never been exposed, or worse, are there more victims we don’t know about? Anyone familiar with similar cases where the body was never recovered but convictions still happened? These loose ends just won't let go of me. Curious to hear your thoughts.

Has anyone else noticed the peculiar nature of the searches conducted near Hagg Lake for Maria's body? I've been following her case closely, and while Vasquez-Santiago's confession mentioned disposing of her body there, it seems odd that nothing was ever found. It's been over a decade since her disappearance, and despite thorough searches, no trace of her has turned up. I can't help but wonder if, despite his confession, there's more to the story. Was the search area not extensive enough, or is it possible that he misled investigators about the location? With as much pain and uncertainty as her family is enduring, I feel like it's important to discuss the possibilities. Anyone else have thoughts on why the searches might have been unsuccessful, or any new insights that might come to light?

I've been thinking about Maria's case, and something that doesn't sit right with me is how Eloy Vasquez-Santiago just left for Mexico right after she disappeared. It seems a bit too convenient, doesn't it? If he was truly remorseful, why flee the country in the first place? I know he confessed and was convicted, but his initial decision to leave makes me wonder if there's more to the story. I have so many questions about what might have happened in those crucial first days. It's such a confusing situation, and I can't imagine what her family continues to go through, not having any closure with her still missing. Has anyone else thought about this angle?
