It's really sad that a tragedy like this could happen behind the secure gates of St. Ives Country Club. It just shows that appearances can be deceiving. I'm particularly struck by the age of Grace, just 15 years old, with so much life ahead of her. It's hard to imagine what she might have endured in her final moments. My heart goes out especially to any friends or classmates she might have left behind, whose lives are forever altered by this loss. And for the community at Johns Creek, where something like this is so out of place, the shock must be overwhelming. How do people begin to process something so unimaginable happening in their backyard?
