I just can't stop thinking about Tanya Burnside's friends and family having to process everything right now. She seemed like such an inspiring person to everyone she worked with at the Douglas County Treasurer’s office. Being remembered as conscientious and warm shows how deeply she cared about her work and those around her. It’s utterly mind-boggling how such a positive presence is gone so suddenly because of something so tragic. What's even more puzzling is the nature of the incident. The details are so painful, especially when the word "domestic" gets thrown around. It makes you wonder about the signs that might have been noticed in hindsight. I’m hoping those close to Tanya find some peace as they navigate through this incredibly difficult time. And fingers crossed people with any information step forward to help piece together what truly happened. My thoughts are with Tanya's friends and family right now.
