I can't stop thinking about the courage of Jerry Williams' community in the wake of this tragedy. It’s so touching to see people coming together despite their fear, but I can't help but wonder about the mental toll this takes on everyone. They’re lighting candles and holding vigils, trying to find solace in each other’s presence amidst this senseless violence. The fact that it was so sudden—right there on Lincoln and Eighth—is just terrifying. Jerry seemed like such a genuinely good guy, and it crushes me to think about his girlfriend and family having to face this unimaginable grief. It's chilling knowing that the people responsible are still out there. I really hope the community can hold onto the camaraderie they’re showing now, even as they push for justice for Jerry. If anyone has information, I really hope they have the courage to come forward. I can’t imagine how difficult that must be, but we owe it to Jerry and his loved ones to try and find some answers.
