I’ve been reading through the posts here and felt it was important to highlight the incredible resilience of Saeed Saleh's family following the tragedy. Can you imagine uprooting your life multiple times due to conflict and finally finding a place to call home, only to face such an unimaginable loss? It's beyond comprehension.
Saeed's story is one of courage—fleeing from Eritrea in search of safety and opportunity, working tirelessly to support his family both in the U.S. and abroad. It's clear he was a dedicated family man, doing everything he could to provide for his loved ones. My heart goes out to his wife, Zaid, and his young daughter, Randa, who now face a future without him.
I’ve heard how the local Eritrean and Sudanese communities, along with various support organizations, have come together to provide comfort and assistance to the Saleh family. It’s a beautiful display of unity and compassion, something that’s desperately needed during such painful times.
Does anyone know if there's a fund we can donate to or other ways to support the family? It would be great to help out in any little way possible. They’ve faced enough heartache; hopefully, we can ease a bit of their burden as they navigate this painful journey.

I wanted to share how inspired I've been by the outpouring of support from the Dayton community, especially the Sudanese and Eritrean groups. It's heartbreaking to see how Zaid and her daughter Randa are navigating such profound grief, but knowing that they have people rallying around them, providing both emotional and practical support, gives me hope.
Saeed's journey to the U.S. speaks volumes about his resilience and determination, having overcome so much to build a better life for his family. It's incredibly moving to see that the community is honoring his legacy by coming together in the aftermath. I truly hope that this continued support helps provide some comfort to his family in such a challenging time.
