I just re-read some articles about Joie Ruth Armstrong, and I can't help but be struck by her passion and commitment to the environment and education. Joie wasn't just going through the motions—she truly loved what she did, and everyone who knew her says the same. It's incredibly disturbing to think that someone so full of life and potential had her future stolen in such a violent way. I wonder how the Foresta community has been coping over the years, especially those who worked closely with her and shared her passion for teaching others about the natural world. Knowing that her murderer was someone trusted within the park adds a whole other layer of disbelief and sorrow. My thoughts are with those who continue to feel the impact of this tragedy every day.
