It's so tragic to come across the story of Shirley Brittingham and Warren Wells again. I find myself thinking about the location where their bodies were discovered—an abandoned house on Commerce Street. It's chilling to imagine such a place was once a crime scene filled with such horror. I wonder why abandoned properties are often connected to heinous acts like this. There’s just something about them that seems to attract darkness. Was there a reason why Snyder chose that location, or was it just a matter of convenience? It's important for communities to consider securing or repurposing these places to prevent them from being misused as sites of violence. My heart goes out to the loved ones of Shirley and Warren. While the arrest of Snyder brought some level of closure, I can't fathom the pain they went through knowing their family members were taken in such a brutal manner.
