I've been thinking a lot about how Janice Bolyard seemed to be on such a promising path in life, only for it to be so cruelly cut short. It's absolutely gut-wrenching to imagine the pain her loved ones have endured. She was making strides in her career and planning a future with her fiancé, which makes her loss all the more devastating. What really stands out to me is the bravery that Janice's family and the families of the other victims have shown over the years. Despite the pain, they've continually sought justice and worked to ensure the memory of their loved ones remains alive. It's an incredible testament to their resilience. Reading about Smith's parole hearings makes me anxious. While it's a relief to know parole has been consistently denied, the fact that he even gets the chance for these hearings is unsettling. We owe it to Janice and the other victims to keep telling their stories, to ensure that their lives and what they could have become are never forgotten. It's vital for us to support these families and advocate for justice, keeping these criminals behind bars where they belong. My heart truly goes out to everyone affected.
