I've been following the tragedy of Margaret Byron and Robert Hedderman and something that's really sticking with me is how the crime took place right before Thanksgiving. This was a time when families in Albany were preparing for gatherings and expressing gratitude, and instead, their community was slammed with fear and sorrow. Can you imagine how their families must have felt? It's hard not to think about what a different Thanksgiving that must have been for everyone who knew them. It’s just so unsettling how such a festive occasion can be overshadowed by such horror. I keep wondering if the killer had any twisted intent behind the timing or if it was just a cruel coincidence. My heart goes out to everyone who had to grapple with this nightmare during a time that's supposed to be filled with warmth and togetherness.
