I was just thinking about the phone calls Susan reportedly made in the 1980s. It’s strange how she maintained contact with her mom and grandma for a while but then suddenly stopped after her dad passed away. I wonder if something about his death changed her circumstances or if there was something more to their relationship that impacted her situation. It makes me think—did anyone close to her in Georgia pick up on any changes in her behavior during that time? Or did she mention anything to her family in those calls that might hint at what was going on? Feels like a piece of the puzzle that might help in understanding her disappearance.
