I've been reading up on the Frankford Slasher case, and something that stands out to me is the sheer brutality and public nature of Jeanne Durkin's murder. It's hard not to feel a mix of shock and sadness thinking about what she went through. And considering there were witnesses who reportedly saw a middle-aged white man with several victims, I find it baffling that Leonard Christopher was convicted when he didn't even match those descriptions. It's haunting to think about the fear that Jeanne and the other victims must have felt, and really frustrating knowing the case never truly landed on someone who fit the evidence. Jeanne was so young, and it feels like she didn't get the justice she deserved. I hope someday there's clarity for her family and the families of all the victims. It's a stark reminder of the importance of thorough investigations and the impact these unsolved cases have over the years.

I've been thinking a lot about Jeanne Durkin and just how terrifying it must have been for the people in Philly during the time of the "Frankford Slasher" killings. I can’t imagine the fear that gripped the community when another woman turned up murdered in such a brutal way. What stands out to me about Jeanne's case is the complete disregard her killer had, leaving her in such a public place. The sheer violence and exposure feel like a taunt to the community and law enforcement. How did the killer feel so confident? Jeanne and the other victims deserve justice, and I really hope any new developments in forensic techniques might spark a breakthrough. My heart goes out to her family who must still be in pain after all these years.
