FBI concluded the shooting was an act of suicidal murder intended to demonstrate his masculinity and capacity for killing, rather than motivated by ideology or bias. So clearly there were layers. This is why there needs to be study done on these people that do this. If you can figure out how you make a monster you can learn to unmake or stop them before they cross the line. There just isn't enough research done about this. Sure, there is some. Nature vs Nurture etc. etc. But this is an epidemic that needs to be studied and stopped.
