Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Wendie Prescott, and my heart goes out to her family and friends who had to endure such an unimaginable loss. What caught my attention recently was the role of forensic technology in solving this case. Back in the '90s, the limitations investigators faced must have been incredibly frustrating. It’s incredible to think how much advancement we’ve seen since then. When Dale Devon Scheanette was finally caught in 1999, and his fingerprints matched those from both crime scenes, it must have been such a breakthrough moment, both for the investigators and Wendie's family. It's a stark reminder of how critical advancements in forensic tech are for bringing justice to victims and closure to families. Imagining the relief of having answers after years of uncertainty really puts things into perspective. Has anyone here followed other cases where forensic breakthroughs led to a resolution years after the crime? Would love to hear your thoughts or any stories you might want to share. Stay safe, everyone.
