I’ve been following the tragic story of Cynthia Lee Westbury and the other young women for a while now, and there's a piece of the puzzle that I can't stop thinking about. It’s about those wooded areas where Cynthia and some of the other victims were found. These locations are quite secluded, but at the same time, not that far from where they lived.
I wonder if the killer was familiar with the area, someone who knew these woods well, possibly even grew up nearby. It’s chilling to think about, but maybe they chose these spots because they felt comfortable and confident they wouldn’t be interrupted. Could they have used these woods as a dumping ground more than once?
It’s just heartbreaking for the families not to have closure. I hope with new advances in DNA testing and more attention to cold cases, there's still hope for some answers. My thoughts are with all the families affected.
