Has anyone else thought about how Mei Leung's case brings to light the desperate need for community awareness about the dangers children faced in those days? The fact that she was just searching for a lost dollar bill when this horrific event occurred feels especially tragic. It's terrifying to think how quickly things turned from ordinary to unimaginable chaos for Mei and her family. I can't even begin to imagine the pain her brother must have gone through at such a young age, not to mention the lifelong impact on their entire family. I hope we can keep discussing ways to better protect our kids in urban environments to prevent tragedies like this from happening again.
