Hey all, I've been digging into the Robert Johnson case from 1973, and one aspect that keeps sticking with me is Earthquake Park itself. I can't imagine how his family must feel knowing he was killed in such a public and, dare I say, eerie place. From what I've read, Earthquake Park was meant to commemorate the 1964 earthquake but sadly became associated with this tragic event. It's chilling to think about how a spot designed for reflection and remembrance could become the scene of such violence. Robert's life was cut way too short, and while the park has its own history, I wonder if anyone else finds it odd or significant that the murder took place there. It seems like a place that should stand for resilience and history was marred that June day. Sending all my thoughts to those who knew and loved Robert; I can't begin to imagine the pain of losing someone in such a horrific way.
