I've been following Isaiah Dukes’ case, and I'm absolutely devastated by the senselessness of it all. One thing that really stands out to me is the suspect's age—16 years old. It's tough to wrap my head around such a young person being involved in something so violent. This just makes me think about what might have led to this situation. What are we missing in communities that young teens end up on this path? It’s alarming to think about how someone at 16 could face the severe repercussions of these charges. The ripple effects on both Isaiah's family and the suspect's are massive. Isaiah seemed like such a wonderful young man with his whole future ahead of him, dreaming of becoming a Merchant Marine. I'm sending all my thoughts to his family, who are undoubtedly struggling with this immeasurable loss and praying for some peace and healing in this difficult time.
