Does anyone else find it odd that there were no reports about the truck he went to see? If Wayne was planning to buy this pickup in Superior, wouldn’t he have mentioned something specific to someone about the seller or truck itself? I'm curious if there was ever any follow-up on the identity of the seller or if the truck sale was even real. It seems like a crucial lead to either confirm or rule out if the supposed meeting was genuine. With his developmental disabilities, it's possible he could have been an easy target if this was some kind of setup. Just feels like a stone left unturned, but maybe I'm missing something that’s already been discussed?
Has anyone looked into whether there were other missing person cases along Highway 93 around the same time Wayne Hickman disappeared? It's troubling to think he might not be the only one who went missing in those circumstances. Given that he was planning to buy a truck, I'm curious if anyone checked to see if the truck was ever sold or if the seller was ever identified and investigated. It’s frustrating how late the report was filed—two months is a huge gap where so much could’ve happened. Sometimes it feels like these gaps make these kinds of cases lose attention over time. It's been too long without answers.
