I can’t stop thinking about the witnesses who had to experience the horror of this event firsthand, especially the children at the playground. For many kids, parks are a haven, a place to feel safe and free. How do you even begin to process something like this happening in such a familiar space? It must be incredibly distressing for all those families. I hope community leaders and mental health professionals are rallying together to support everyone affected. My heart goes out to Jayden’s and Daequan’s families. No one should ever have to receive news like this. Sending strength and hope to everyone touched by this tragedy.
