I've been following the case of Kanye Dahmir Lewis, and my thoughts are with his family and friends who are dealing with this unimaginable loss. It's truly devastating when someone with so much potential is taken so abruptly. I keep thinking about how his community must be feeling right now, especially with Whitcomb Court being an area where people want to feel safe and secure. The fact that officers were so close when the shots were fired is both encouraging and frustrating—encouraging because it means the case might have some momentum, but frustrating because it highlights how brazen this act was. It's important for those in Richmond to speak up if they know anything, even the smallest details could help. I really hope they catch whoever did this soon, not just for justice, but for the peace of the community as well. Stay safe, everyone, and let's hope we get some answers soon.
