It's so poignant to see the community coming together to remember Dora Hill. I recently drove past North 1st and East Hill Streets, and the spot where she passed has become this touching and vibrant memorial. The red ribbon bouquet has been joined by countless other flowers, notes, and even some of Dora’s favorite things. It's both beautiful and deeply sad—such a young life, full of potential, taken away in a senseless act. ?
From what I've read, Dora was someone who really cared for those around her. The memorial stands as a testament to how she touched the lives of many in Richmond. It’s heartbreaking to imagine the pain her family must be going through right now. So many people are struggling to make sense of it all, and every day I see more folks visiting the site to pay their respects.
I think it’s important that we support these initiatives, like the GoFundMe for her funeral. This is the least we can do for a family that has been devastated in such a profound way. Let’s keep Dora and her family in our thoughts and hope that they find justice and peace in remembering the wonderful person she was.
