I can't stop thinking about Shakeem Latif Peterson-Brock and his family. It’s unimaginable to ring in the New Year expecting it to be the start of something great, only for it to turn into such a devastating loss. I was wondering if anyone knows more about the security situation outside the event space and shopping center? It seems odd to have such a high presence of armed security inside, yet this tragic event unfolded right outside. Was there any lapse in coverage or did the shooter somehow manage to bypass all of this? My heart goes out to the friends and family of Shakeem. They deserve answers and justice.
