Shakeem Latif Peterson-Brock, a 29-year-old African American man, was fatally shot in Greensboro, North Carolina, on January 1, 2025. The incident occurred in the early hours of New Year's Day, around 1:13 a.m., in the 2600 block of Lawndale Drive. Greensboro Police responded to reports of gunfire and discovered Peterson-Brock suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
