Julie Schmidtke, a 36-year-old resident of Columbus, Indiana, tragically lost her life on December 19, 2022, in what authorities have identified as a murder-suicide. Julie was found dead in her home on Sumpter Court, alongside her estranged husband, Charles W. Schmidtke, 41.
