I’ve been thinking a lot about how this tragedy could have been prevented. The fact that Kane Roden had a history of violence and still managed to get into a rideshare vehicle unchecked is really chilling. I can’t help but wonder if the rideshare companies should consider implementing some form of background checks or alerts for drivers about potentially dangerous passengers. It seems like there were so many red flags regarding Roden's past offenses. My heart truly goes out to Tahirou Diallo’s family. They’ve lost someone so dear to them, and it’s painful to think it might have been avoided with better safety protocols. I hope the community and these companies can come together to push for changes and prevent such a horrible event from happening again.

It's gut-wrenching to learn about the case of Tahirou Diallo. My heart goes out to his family, especially his young son who now has to grow up without his father. I stumbled upon a detail that got me thinking: Diallo’s killer, Kane Roden, had a record of violent behavior, including crimes that directly threatened his own family. Why was someone with such a history allowed to roam free with pending charges? The justice system, in this case, seems to have failed miserably, not just for Diallo but potentially for anyone else in Roden's path. Especially with the prevalence of rideshare services today, shouldn't there be stricter enforcement on monitoring individuals with significant violent histories? I can’t imagine the pain and anger Diallo’s family must feel knowing that this tragedy could possibly have been prevented with more proactive measures. It’s infuriating and incredibly sad. I hope the legal system takes this chance to reassess how individuals with violent records are handled. For Diallo's sake and for future rideshare drivers out there, changes must be made to prevent another senseless loss of life.
