I've been following the case of Shawn J. Hawkins Jr., and one thing that's been weighing heavily on my mind is the presence of the children during such a traumatic event. It's devastating to think about what they witnessed and the emotional impact it might have on them for years to come. I hope that there is a strong support system in place for them—counseling and therapy services to help them process everything that happened. As a community, we should be rallying around these kids to ensure they have all the love and care they need in such a difficult time. If anyone knows of local organizations that might be stepping up to help, please share. These innocent lives have been changed forever, and they need all the support they can get.
