I've been following the case of Cory Stanley Fields, and I can't stop thinking about how difficult it must be for his family right now. Something that's really been bothering me is the reluctance of witnesses to come forward. I get that fear can be a strong motivator for staying quiet, but Cory's family deserves justice and closure. If anyone was there or knows something, I hope they find it in their hearts to help out. Cory was described as having a wonderful sense of humor and being incredibly generous, and I think it's only right that we do what we can to honor his memory by finding out what really happened. It’s so important that the community comes together to support his loved ones through this.
I can’t stop thinking about how many people are scared to come forward about what they saw on North Cheyenne Avenue that night. I understand the fear of retaliation or getting involved in something potentially dangerous, but Cory’s family deserves answers. A community's strength can impact a case like this, and it might help ease some of the trauma. It's important to remember that speaking up could prevent this from happening to someone else. Please consider if you know something. Cory's loved ones need closure to begin to heal. My thoughts are with them during this time.
